Edda Magnason has a solid musical career behind her and has, among other things, been awarded a Guldbagge for her portrayal of Monica Zetterlund in the film Monica Z. Now she is in a phase where she moves away from the grand in a longing for a more stripped-down expression, without the help of a band. “The piano is the foundation of everything I’ve done and that’s where it all began.”

But in addition to jazz, her musical backpack also includes indie, pop and classical music. The gig at Kalottjazz & Bluesfestivalen precedes this autumn’s solo tour, so visitors to the borderland are to be congratulated!
