Since 2001, The Svängsson Family has played approximately 1.500 gigs at schools and preschools in Sweden and Finland. They have also played at norweigan Trondheim Jazz Festival. 

The group has been nominated for a Swedish Grammis award twice. The Svängsson Family wants to give children the opportunity to experience live jazz music, and in the process strengthen culture for children in the northern countries.
