Jimi Ahlroos is a saxophonist and composer from Oulu, who regularly performs with his own ensembles. In addition to the modern jazz tone, Ahlroos’s music has a strong flavour of blues and rock music. This trio is a band formed in Helsinki, mainly devoted to original compositions by Ahlroos. The interweaving of saxophone, double bass and drum kit creates a soundscape through Ahlroos’s compositions that is acoustic, intimate and conversational.
